Tragic Road Accident Near Gadanki Claims Four Lives, Leaves Seven Injured
A tragic road accident on the Puthalapattu–Naidupeta National Highway near Gadanki resulted in four deaths and seven injuries. An autorickshaw carrying 11 people collided with a timber-laden lorry while traveling to a wedding. An official police investigation is currently underway.

A devastating road accident occurred on Wednesday near Gadanki, located within the Tirupati district, resulting in the loss of four lives and leaving seven others injured. The incident took place on the Puthalapattu–Naidupeta National Highway, turning a journey intended for a joyous family wedding into a scene of tragedy.
According to the local law enforcement, specifically Pakala circle inspector Chinna Govindu, the collision involved a heavy timber-laden lorry and an autorickshaw. The lorry was traveling from Bengaluru towards Srikalahasti when the autorickshaw, which was carrying 11 passengers, reportedly collided with the rear of the heavy vehicle.
Details of the Fatal Road Accident
The passengers in the autorickshaw were residents of Perumallapalle village in the Yadamari mandal of Chittoor district. They were en route to attend a wedding ceremony in Tirupati when the collision occurred. The force of the impact was severe, leading to immediate fatalities and multiple injuries among those on board the autorickshaw.
The victims who lost their lives at the scene have been identified as Yanamala Madhavi (37) and her 15-year-old daughter, Meghana, both of whom resided in Venuguntapalle. Tragically, two other passengers, Pulikinti Rajasekhar (25) and Pulikinti Baby (50), succumbed to the severe injuries they sustained while they were being transported to a medical facility.
The individuals who survived the road accident sustained various injuries and were identified as the driver, Pulikinti Subrahmanyam, along with P. Chinnabba, P. Devi, P. Raghu, P. Naveen, Kommu Vishnu, and Chamundeswari. These survivors were promptly moved to the Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia Government General Hospital in Tirupati, where they are currently receiving necessary medical treatment.

Following the report of this tragic event, the local police have initiated a formal case regarding the collision. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the exact circumstances and factors that led to the autorickshaw striking the rear of the timber-laden lorry.
