A drunk auto driver who fled the scene of an accident that resulted in a constable's leg fracture has been apprehended by Banjara Hills traffic police. The incident occurred on May 21, near Study Circle Road No. 14, where the accused collided with traffic constable Shankar, causing his right leg to break.

Upon investigation, the driver was identified as P. Kishan from the neighboring village of Kolukulapalli in Nalgonda district. After multiple CCTV checks and tracking through one of the passenger's mobile numbers linked to a Paytm transaction, authorities located the accused in Narayanguda junction using GPS.

Accident Details:

Near midnight, Banjara Hills traffic police conducted an anti-drunk driving check when their operation was inadvertently interrupted by Kishan. During this encounter, the auto struck Shankar as he attempted to avoid it, inflicting a severe blow that fractured his right leg.

P. Kishan admitted to dropping passengers at a nearby intersection in Zaheeranagar before fleeing via interior streets, all while trying to evade CCTV cameras. He was subsequently arrested at the Narayanguda junction on May 21.

Banjara Hills police revealed that P. Kishan used his mobile number, associated with a Rapido auto registration, as his primary contact. This method allowed them to trace his movements and ultimately lead to his arrest for the hit-and-run incident.
