Residents of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are also advised to prepare for the impending weather changes. In the plains, strong winds with gusts up to 70 km/h could cause significant discomfort.

In the northeastern states, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland can expect heavy rainfall, accompanied by frequent lightning strikes. A similar alert has been issued for Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, where rain and squalls are expected to persist with high wind speeds reaching 50 km/h.

The coastal states of West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha could also experience heavy downpour events. The IMD has issued warnings for lightning strikes and thunderstorms in these regions due to the risk of severe weather conditions.

In contrast, residents of Mumbai and Kerala may continue to face heatwave conditions with intense humidity levels. Yet again, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are experiencing sweltering temperatures due to rising heat, while those in Bihar might find relief after a period of rain.
