The NEET serves as the primary gateway for admission into undergraduate medical programs across the country, including MBBS and BDS courses, as well as various allied health science disciplines. Given the immense pressure associated with such a high-stakes exam, the Chief Minister emphasized that students should focus on their hard work and perseverance to ensure a composed mindset during the assessment.
Examination Logistics and State Support for NEET Candidates
For the upcoming examination, approximately 72,956 students from Telangana are scheduled to appear at 208 designated test centers located across 24 cities in the state. On a national level, the scale of the operation is vast, with over 22.74 million candidates expected to sit for the exam at 5,440 different centers. This year's event is particularly significant following the cancellation of the previous examination due to reports of question paper leaks, which had caused widespread public concern.
In a move to facilitate easier access to the test sites, A. Revanth Reddy reminded students that the state government has authorized free travel in Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) buses for those appearing for the NEET-UG. Officials have strongly advised students to plan their commute carefully and arrive at their respective examination centers well before the scheduled time to avoid any last-minute stress.
Furthermore, candidates have been encouraged to strictly adhere to all official examination guidelines. By staying focused and following the prescribed protocols, students can ensure a smooth testing experience. The administration has expressed its sincere hope that all participating students will perform to the best of their ability and successfully achieve their career aspirations in the medical field.
Maintaining a calm demeanor is often cited as a key factor in performing well on high-pressure entrance exams like NEET-UG. As students finalize their preparations, the government’s focus remains on providing a stable and supportive environment for all test-takers, ensuring that logistical hurdles do not interfere with their academic potential.
