Tata Motors' latest masterpiece, the Tata Tiago CNG facelift model, has recently been unveiled with a host of new features and an enhanced driving experience set for its official launch on May 28th. The car market is thrilled as this hatchback takes a significant leap forward in terms of comfort, technology, and safety.
New Paddle Shifters - First in the Segment
The standout feature in the Tata Tiago CNG facelift is undoubtedly its first-ever inclusion of paddle shifters. This premium feature typically found in luxury sedans will redefine the segment for cost-conscious urban commuters seeking a smooth, sophisticated driving experience without compromising on affordability.
Engineered to deliver an exhilarating yet efficient drive, the Tiago CNG facelift retains its 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, which now supports paddle shift functionality, alongside the existing manual and automatic options. The AMT variant's integration of paddle shifters sets a new standard for hatchbacks in India.
When activated, the car switches between petrol mode (86 hp) and CNG mode (75.5 hp), enhancing its versatility while maintaining fuel efficiency. This feature is particularly appealing to users who prioritize both driving comfort and environmental consciousness.
Redefined Dashboard and Cabin Comfort
In addition to the new paddle shifters, Tata Motors has rejuvenated the interior of the Tiago CNG facelift with a state-of-the-art 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionalities. The cabin now sports a premium 'Layered Layout' dashboard design, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
- A sleek 360-degree camera setup for enhanced visibility
- Two wireless charging pads to keep devices powered up on the go
- A premium rotary gear selector knob for added luxury
- A keyless start/stop system with a push-button function for convenience and ease of use.
The car's newly designed front and rear bumpers, LED headlights, and taillights further enhance the exterior look. The updated design makes the Tiago CNG facelift stand out on the streets while retaining excellent trunk space thanks to the innovative twin-cylinder CNG technology, perfectly housed in the lower part of the boot.
While the current Tata Tiago CNG models range between ₹5.54 lakh and ₹7.40 lakh (ex-showroom) for manual variants, and ₹7.32 lakh to ₹7.92 lakh for automatic variants, this facelift could see a price increase of around ₹30,000 per variant.
