The announcement was made by the SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami during a religious ceremony held at Gurudwara Shri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in Amritsar. Many devotees attended, creating an atmosphere of spiritual fervor throughout the gathering.
Dhami emphasized that the main duty of employees working in Gurdwaras is to serve the Sangat and uphold the dignity of Sikh institutions. He also highlighted the importance of service and discipline alongside their roles. Additionally, Dhami instructed staff members to wear traditional Sikh clothing, specifically kurta-pyjama, while on duty.

These practices not only enhance individual behavior but also reinforce the dignity of the institutions. During the program, the Hazuri Ragi Jatha of Harmandir Sahib performed Gurbani Kirtan under Bhai Harjeet Singh's leadership.
