HYDERABAD: In a significant move to ensure compliance with the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, the Secunderabad zone police have issued an advisory to all accommodation providers, including house owners, hotels, guest houses, hospitals, and educational institutions. These entities are mandated to furnish complete details of foreign nationals staying or studying within their premises using designated online forms.
Impressions on Educational Institutions
Secunderabad zonal DCP Rakshitha K. Murthy highlighted the importance for institutions such as schools, colleges, and universities to submit comprehensive data through Form-11 and Form-III(C). This includes not only students with foreign passports but also those holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards or arriving from Nepal.
According to official sources, these forms are critical under the Act. Accommodation providers must register all foreign nationals' details on the designated FRRO portal and maintain records for an additional year post-registration. Failure to do so can result in legal action under Section 23 of the Foreigners Act.
Failure to comply with these regulations will not only attract penalties but also jeopardize the safety and trustworthiness of all establishments involved, as police have warned that stringent measures would be taken against those providing false information or concealing details deliberately. Officials urge citizens and institutions in the Secunderabad zone to adhere strictly to government norms to avoid unnecessary legal consequences.
