The Vijayawada division of South Central Railway (SCR) recently organized a plantation drive at Vambay Colony to observe World Environment Day, falling between May 15 and June 5. The event, themed 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,' aims to promote environmental awareness while fostering a stronger connection with nature through tree planting.

The division's Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya led the initiative by planting native saplings alongside senior officials, staff members, and branch officers. Additional Divisional Railway Managers P.E. Edwin and Srinivasa Rao Konda also participated in the plantation drive.
