Sajjanar recently visited the historic Bibi Ka Alawa located in Dabeerpura. During his visit this Saturday, he performed special prayers and offered the customary ‘dhatti’ as part of the sacred observances leading up to the 10th day of Muharram, which falls on June 26.
Security and Logistical Preparations for Muharram
The event also served as a moment to oversee critical logistical arrangements for the upcoming procession. Alongside MLC Mirza Riyaz-ul-Hassan Effendi, Commissioner Sajjanar inaugurated the trial walk for the elephant named ‘Sridevi’. This elephant holds a central role in the procession, as it is traditionally tasked with carrying the ‘alam’ on the 10th of Muharram.
