Northern Railway Cancels 21 Trains Amid Railway Construction
21 trains have been cancelled and some services partially affected due to the Northern Railway's bridge replacement construction project. 5-7 other trains have their schedules changed or routes rerouted.

Another disruption for Northern Railway passengers was caused by the ongoing construction work in Delhi. As part of a major infrastructure upgrade, two power and traffic blocks totaling 09.40 hours each have been scheduled for the cutting and joining of railway tracks between New Delhi and Delhi Shahdara Junction.
This critical project aimed at replacing an existing bridge located between Delhi stations with a new one aims to enhance safety and reliability on this vital rail link in the Delhi Area section of the Delhi Division. As a result, 21 trains have been temporarily suspended while some services experienced delayed or rerouted schedules.

- Train No. 64082 on March 17
- Train No. 64051 on March 17
- Train No. 54308 on March 18
- Train No. 64091 on March 18
- Train No. 64020 on March 18
- Train No. 74021 on March 18
- Train No. 74024 on March 18
- Train No. 64437 on 18 March
- Train No. 64402 on 18 March
- Train No. 64411 on 18 March
- Train No. 64408 on 18 March
- Train No. 64025 on 18 March

- Train No. 64439 on March 18
- Train No. 64406 on 18 March

The Northern Railway also announced that some partially affected train schedules have been revised. For instance, Train number 64023 was relabeled to operate from Shamli with partial cancellation between Delhi and Shamli. Similarly, a modified train route has been provided for several trains during their commute.
In addition to these adjustments, the Northern Railway highlighted that some trains have seen rerouted travel options due to the ongoing construction project:
- Train No. 20939 Sabarmati-Sultanpur Jn (17th March) has been rerouted via Delhi Sarai Rohilla-New Delhi-Tilak Bridge-Sahibabad Junction, with a stop at Delhi omitted.
- Train No. 15657 Delhi–Kamakhya Jn (17th March) is now operated from Ghaziabad Junction without stopping in Delhi or Shahdara.
- Train No. 54076 Delhi-Bareilly Jn (17th March) is rerouted via New Delhi-Tilak Bridge-Sahibabad Junction, skipping stops at Delhi Shahdara and Vivek Vihar.
