Noida International Airport, commonly known as Jewar Airport, is set to kickstart operations soon. Located in Noida and Greater Noida, the airport will significantly boost travel options for residents of western Uttar Pradesh and beyond.
Major Cities Linked by Initial Flights
In its launch phase, Jewar Airport will link 10 significant cities to cater to high-demand passenger routes. Among these are major urban centers such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, joined by Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Goa, Jaipur, and Lucknow. These key cities were selected for their business and commercial importance, ensuring seamless travel experiences.
The selection process considered areas demonstrating the highest passenger traffic, making Jewar Airport a strategic hub for both domestic and potential international air travel in the future. Airlines are finalizing schedules and awaiting approvals, with an anticipated commencement period of around 45 days to two months after inauguration on March 28, 2026.
Airlines like Indigo, Akasa Air, and Air India Express have positioned themselves for early traveler engagement by potentially offering discounted fares during the initial phase. Passengers can anticipate booking options opening up in late April or early May, aligning with predictions from aviation experts who anticipate the first commercial flights to launch around that time.
