SPSR Nellore district authorities are gearing up for the upcoming Bara Shaheed Dargah Rottela Panduga. To ensure the safety and convenience of the large influx of devotees expected to attend, district superintendent of police Dr. Ajitha Vejendla held a formal review of all security arrangements on Tuesday.

During the session at the district police office, Dr. Ajitha Vejendla emphasized that robust security arrangements and efficient traffic management are the top priorities for the event. The festival, which draws people from across the state, requires meticulous planning to manage crowd surges effectively and keep movement smooth throughout the duration of the celebrations.

Detailed Security and Traffic Management Protocols

The review meeting involved a comprehensive briefing by various officials regarding their specific responsibilities. Additional SP (Administration) Ch. Soujanya provided a detailed overview of the personnel deployment plan, outlining the duties assigned to different teams to ensure optimal coverage. Furthermore, Nellore Town ASP Deeksha joined other officials in presenting sector-specific security blueprints, while Rural DSP Ghattamaneni Srinivasa Rao delineated the specific protective measures and bandobust strategies planned for the Kasumuru Dargah, Indukurupeta, and the surrounding beach areas near Krishnapatnam.

Traffic control was another major focus of the discussion. Authorities finalized a comprehensive plan that includes designated parking zones, specific route diversions, and the strategic placement of signboards to assist visitors. Collaboration with APSRTC services is also being prioritized to ensure seamless public transportation for the attendees.

The Nellore police department is committed to maintaining constant vigilance throughout the festival. Dr. Ajitha Vejendla directed that surveillance be kept active around the clock using a combination of CCTV cameras, drone monitoring, and the central command-and-control system. To handle potential emergencies, Quick Response Teams, the Bomb Disposal Squad, and dog squads are set to be deployed at key locations.

Beyond general security, officials have been instructed to prioritize the well-being of vulnerable groups, including children, senior citizens, and devotees with special needs. As the festival involves traditional activities near water bodies, life-saving equipment will be positioned at all ghats and boating points. Finally, necessary infrastructure, including food and accommodation, is being prepared to support the police personnel on active duty, ensuring a smooth and safe environment for all participants.
