With the heatwave intensifying across much of India, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for 14 states with rain warnings, expecting showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram have all issued rain alerts for thunderstorms and lightning. Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir are also expected to get rain, with hailstorms and lightning expected on March 11 and 12. Additionally, winds up to 50 kilometers per hour are predicted with this rainfall, bringing both humidity and excitement to affected regions.

While these states face potential weather changes, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are currently anticipating clear skies and warmer conditions. Delhi, for instance, is expected to experience cloudy skies starting March 11 with the possibility of rain and a 36-degree Celsius maximum temperature. Uttar Pradesh, however, has not seen any immediate rain forecasts.

Despite these different weather scenarios across various parts of India, the IMD's rain warning for 14 states remains significant, setting the stage for a complex and varied weather forecast throughout the upcoming week.
