North India is bracing for a potential storm as monsoon conditions may worsen and disrupt Holi celebrations. Heavy rain and snowfall in mountains could result in freezing temperatures in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Kashmir, creating a bleak atmosphere for festivities.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh is expected to experience a rise in temperatures. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alerts for several states, suggesting that the weather may deteriorate across various parts of the country, including South India, causing inconvenience to residents and affecting travel plans.

The IMD has predicted a rise in temperatures in the capital, Delhi, and other regions like Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, and Amethi. In Uttarakhand, the weather is expected to remain dry, but temperatures may drop in some areas like Nainital, Rudraprayag, and Chamoli. In Himachal Pradesh, light rain is anticipated in Manali and the surrounding regions.

Jammu and Kashmir are predicted to experience clear skies on March 2nd, which will be followed by potentially severe weather from March 4th to 7th, with heavy rain expected.

Additionally, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned that rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, while Kerala and Mahe could face lightning strikes accompanied by heavy rain.
