Several Indian states are facing severe weather conditions with heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and potential hailstorms from April 5-7. The IMD has issued warnings for various districts in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu to prepare for adverse weather.

Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected across multiple states of India until at least April 7, according to the latest weather forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Across northern India, several districts, including Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, and Siddharthnagar, are under a heavy rainfall warning. Additionally, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, and Ambedkar Nagar are bracing for rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Heavy Rainfall in Rajasthan
Rajasthan's weather will also see adverse conditions over the next three days with heavy rainfall predicted. IMD has issued a rain alert for Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Kota, Udaipur, and Bikaner on April 5, with gusts of winds at 40–50 km/h. By April 6, indications suggest the likelihood of thunderstorms and squalls in these districts along with certain sections of Jodhpur and Bikaner.
The influence of a Western Disturbance on April 7 will bring heavy rainfall accompanied by storms across the Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur, and Kota divisions. A warning has been issued for winds gusting between 50 and 60 km/h, along with possible hailstorms in some areas.
Further south, central India is also expected to experience heavy rainfall during the next few days, with warnings for Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Meanwhile, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, and Madhya Maharashtra might see hailstorms.
The IMD has advised residents in affected areas to take appropriate precautions and stay updated on the latest weather conditions to ensure safety during this period of heavy rain and storms.
