Minister N. Lokesh Highlights Strategy for Massive Investments in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh is actively working to transform its industrial landscape by focusing on speed, stability, and service to drive significant investments into the state. IT and Education Minister N. Lokesh recently highlighted these core values as the foundation of the state's ongoing economic strategy to foster growth and development.

Speaking at a recent event in Delhi, N. Lokesh outlined the progress of major projects. He noted that industry leaders, including Google Data Centre, ArcelorMittal, and those involved in the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) project, are slated to begin operations in the coming months. These developments are viewed as crucial steps in moving toward the ambitious vision set by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who aims to expand the state's economy to US$ 2.4 trillion by the year 2047.

Building a Stronger Industrial Future

The state government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment that encourages long-term partnerships. N. Lokesh emphasized that his focus remains on promoting high-quality education, attracting substantial investments, and generating diverse job opportunities. By prioritizing these sectors, the leadership believes Andhra Pradesh can distinguish itself as a premier destination for global and national industries.

Infrastructure development in the capital city remains a top priority. Construction for essential government facilities, including the Assembly, Secretariat, and the High Court in Amaravati, is on track to be finalized by 2028. The administration is actively working to mobilize Rs. 60,000 crore to support the development of the capital into a robust economic powerhouse. Along with administrative buildings, plans include the integration of critical social infrastructure such as advanced hospitals, commercial hotels, and premier educational institutions.

International Cooperation and Strategic Partnerships

In addition to domestic efforts, the state is seeking international collaborations to bolster its tech and manufacturing capabilities. N. Lokesh recently held a courtesy meeting with Lee Seong-ho, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, in Delhi. The discussion centered on the expansion of Korean firms within India and potential cooperative ventures.

Given South Korea's expertise in specialized sectors like semiconductors, microelectronics, shipbuilding, and electric vehicles, the partnership could provide a significant boost to Andhra Pradesh's industrial roadmap. The state is keen on establishing itself as a long-term partner for Korean companies, further cementing its position as a growing hub for high-tech manufacturing and innovation.
