History Made Without Modification
This impressive feat was achieved by an unaltered production model of the Majestor. The previous record, which stood at 400 tons on a 100-foot track, was decisively broken by this full-size SUV that extended its lead to 300 feet. This significant achievement is proof of the vehicle's remarkable capabilities and robust engineering.
MG Majestor achieved this record on a protected track between Kakapora and Awantipora railway stations in Jammu and Kashmir, without any modifications to its engine or transmission systems. The company ensured that the SUV remained true to its showroom-ready condition while still managing to shatter the previous benchmark.
Power and Performance
The heart of MG Majestor's impressive feat lies in its 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine, which delivers an astounding 215.5 PS of power and a peak torque of 478.5 Nm. Coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this engine ensures smooth performance and robust power output.
The Majestor also comes equipped with all-terrain capabilities through its 4x4 drive option and ten off-road modes, augmented by triple differential locks (front, rear, and center). This makes it perfectly suited for navigating deep mud and rocky terrains. Additionally, the SUV boasts an impressive wading depth of 810 mm and a ground clearance of 219 mm, ensuring ease in floods and rough terrain.
In terms of comfort and luxury, MG Majestor does not disappoint. It sports a spacious interior with a wheelbase spanning 2950 mm and an overall length of 5046 mm, offering ample room for seven passengers. Inside, you'll find a host of features including a large 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a panoramic sunroof, and front seats with massage functions.
Safety Features
Equipped with six airbags and advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), the Majestor prioritizes safety. These features include robust lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control to ensure a smooth, secure driving experience.
