Malkajgiri Police Launch Margadarshak Volunteers Under The Mee Suraksha Initiative

The Malkajgiri police have officially launched the inaugural batch of the Margadarshak orientation program under the Mee Suraksha initiative. This proactive community-based effort is designed to enhance support systems for vulnerable citizens, including women, children, and senior residents. By fostering a collaborative atmosphere, the project seeks to bridge the gap between people in distress and essential services.

Strengthening Community Support with Mee Suraksha

The Mee Suraksha initiative is a strategic partnership between local law enforcement and the Malkajgiri Security Council (MKSC). The program was formally inaugurated by Commissioner of Police B. Sumathi. This framework establishes a specialized network of trained volunteers tasked with guiding individuals toward necessary resources, such as legal aid, professional counseling, and emergency assistance provided by state and private agencies.

During the orientation, it was emphasized that community involvement remains a cornerstone of creating a safer urban environment. The role of these volunteers is strictly defined as referral guides. Rather than engaging in direct intervention during incidents, these volunteers are empowered to connect those in need with the appropriate institutional support systems efficiently. This structure ensures that victims of distress receive professional help from the right authorities, such as the Sakhi One Stop Centre and other specialized platforms.
