The accused, identified as Akshay Malviya, a resident of the Kanadiya area, was taken into custody on Monday. Investigations reveal that the student leveraged the ChatGPT platform to generate the counterfeit examination material. He then proceeded to market and sell these deceptive documents through various social media channels, specifically targeting aspirants in the days leading up to the test.
According to Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Prevention Branch), the suspect enticed victims by falsely claiming to possess the genuine examination paper. He reportedly collected between Rs 100 and 200 from approximately 25 individuals. The police have indicated that while only 25 buyers have been identified thus far, the total number of victims who purchased the fake NEET question paper could potentially be higher as the probe continues.
