Former minister Jogu Ramanna has publicly raised serious concerns regarding alleged irregularities surrounding the acquisition of land for a proposed industrial park in Adilabad. These claims have stirred significant debate regarding local developmental projects and the conduct of political representatives in the region.

According to Jogu Ramanna, the core of the issue involves the purchase of land parcels in Bhoraj mandal at significantly lower prices by certain political leaders. He specifically alleged that these individuals, including MLA Payal Shankar, intend to resell the property to the state government at highly inflated rates, thereby exploiting the planned industrial initiative for personal financial gain.

Allegations of Misconduct and Land Disputes

The controversy surrounding the Adilabad industrial park land does not end with these allegations of speculative buying. Jogu Ramanna further asserted that his team is preparing to release specific documentation related to these land acquisitions. He intends to pursue legal recourse by filing a public interest litigation (PIL) in the High Court. The objective of this legal move is to advocate for the return of lands previously acquired from farmers for the Cement Corporation of India factory, which has since ceased operations.

Furthermore, Jogu Ramanna highlighted a critical lack of transparency concerning the status and management of the lands formerly held by the now-closed Adilabad unit of the Cement Corporation of India. The uncertainty regarding these assets has caused distress among local landowners and the farming community who were originally dispossessed to facilitate the industrial site.

Political Developments and Farmer Concerns

In addition to these land-related grievances, the political climate in the region remains tense. It was announced that K.T. Rama Rao, working president of the BRS party, is scheduled to visit Boath. The purpose of this visit is to express condolences to the family of a local farmer who tragically died by suicide and to engage in direct dialogue with the area's agricultural community.

Jogu Ramanna also voiced strong criticism against the current state government regarding agricultural procurement policies. He pointed to systemic failures in the procurement of essential crops, specifically citing paddy, jowar, and maize. The leader alleged that farmers are suffering due to persistent delays in receiving payments for their produce, which has only added to the ongoing socio-economic frustration within the agricultural sector of the district.
