As the Indian March weather shifts, a string of heatwaves and rain warnings has been issued by the Meteorological Department (IMD) for multiple states in the coming days. The heatwave warnings begin in early March, pushing many to utilize their air conditioning, with Gujarat and Rajasthan facing the most immediate impact from higher temperatures.

Light rain and snowfall are expected in the western Himalayan regions by March 9-11, triggered by a new western disturbance. Meanwhile, rain warnings accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds are forecasted for several states including Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and part of West Bengal. The IMD has also issued heatwave alerts for several states, with temperatures expected to exceed normal levels in some areas.

Bihar and Uttar Pradesh both face rain warnings, with Bihar expecting light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds from March 9-10. In Uttar Pradesh, temperatures are predicted to be 3 to 7 degrees Celsius above normal, with surrounding areas likely to experience similar conditions.

Delhi will experience clear skies on March 8th with temperatures between 34-36 degrees Celsius, and light clouds are anticipated throughout the remainder of March 9 and 10. A comprehensive outlook by the IMD and the Heat Wave Committee (HWC) indicate clear weather for the remaining days of March, allowing for a gradual transition to summer in many parts of India.
