The city of Hyderabad is set to become the epicenter of the aerospace industry as it prepares to host Aeromart 2026. Scheduled to take place from June 30 to July 2, this significant business convention aims to bolster India’s aerospace strength by integrating local suppliers into critical global value chains. The event is expected to attract over 1,200 international delegates representing more than 400 companies from 25 countries, creating a dynamic environment for high-level industry collaboration.
A representative from the industries department highlighted that the primary goal of Aeromart 2026 is to facilitate industrial growth through high-value engagement. The convention is structured to host more than 10,000 pre-arranged business-to-business (B2B) meetings. These sessions will connect Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Tier-1 suppliers, MSMEs, and maintenance-repair-overhaul (MRO) service providers. By streamlining these interactions, the event seeks to fast-track the integration of Indian manufacturers into the global aerospace, space, and defense ecosystems.
Strengthening India's Aerospace Ecosystem
The theme of the convention focuses on “building the next generation of aerospace partnerships in India,” reflecting the nation’s aggressive pursuit of defense indigenization. Telangana has cultivated a robust and competitive industrial landscape to support this ambition. The region currently hosts over 25 major aerospace entities and more than 1,000 specialized MSMEs. With four dedicated aerospace parks and strong collaborative ties to research institutions, universities, and DRDO laboratories, the region is uniquely positioned to drive this technological expansion.
Major global players, including Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, GE Aerospace, and Honeywell, have already established a significant presence in the region. Their investments, combined with a flourishing domestic base in precision engineering, avionics, and advanced materials, create an ideal backdrop for the upcoming event. This thriving ecosystem allows international firms to seamlessly access a sophisticated supplier network while offering local Indian manufacturers a direct pathway into international markets.
The comprehensive three-day program features a range of industry conferences and specialized networking sessions. Key topics for discussion include the development of resilient supply chains, effective procurement strategies, the integration of digitalization, and the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies. Organizers emphasize that this initiative serves as a strategic gateway for global firms to engage with India's manufacturing capabilities while helping domestic entities elevate their standards to meet global requirements.
