Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, is gearing up for the inauguration of its prestigious Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Tims) Hospital. Scheduled for late June, the event marks a significant milestone in the region's healthcare infrastructure. To ensure the comfort and convenience of both doctors and patients, the Health Minister, Damodar Rajanarasimha, has ordered several improvements. Among these is the construction of separate hostel blocks for male and female doctors within the hospital premises.
In a bid to enhance patient care, the minister also directed the development of additional toilet facilities for both outpatients and inpatients, along with the establishment of a multi-level parking system to alleviate traffic congestion. He further highlighted the importance of setting up a Dharmashala for patient attendants and creating two canteens on the hospital's campus.
Addressing security concerns, Rajanarasimha directed officials to install a police outpost at the main entrance of the facility. The minister's directives also covered advanced amenities specifically designed for foreign patients to ensure their comfort is not compromised.
Committee Formation and Laboratory Standards
To foster international standards in medical services, Rajanarasimha constituted a committee comprising officials from the department of medical education, heads of various departments, and engineering officials from the Telangana Medical Services Infrastructure Development Corporation. The group's task is to oversee the establishment of an advanced laboratory at the hospital.
While these measures are crucial for patient convenience, they also signify a comprehensive approach addressing both medical and administrative aspects. By prioritizing these factors, the Health Minister seeks to ensure that everything from basic amenities to safety protocols are up to par.
