Health Minister Satya Kumar officially inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art drug testing laboratory and the primary headquarters for the Drugs Control Administration (DCA) in Vijayawada on Friday. This development marks a significant upgrade in the state's capability to monitor and regulate pharmaceutical quality standards effectively.
Enhancing State Drug Testing Lab Infrastructure
During the inauguration ceremony, Satya Kumar highlighted the progress made by the current government over the past two years. He emphasized that systematic improvements in the collection of drug samples from various pharmacies and pharmaceutical manufacturers are crucial to ensuring public safety. Furthermore, he acknowledged the necessity of addressing current staffing shortages and assured stakeholders that recruitment initiatives would be prioritized following consultations with the Finance department.
