The fluctuating global markets have created an uncertain economic climate for several nations, with stock exchanges remaining volatile. Amidst this backdrop, Indian consumers are advised not to delay their precious metal purchases as prices seem to be on the rise.
City-Wise Gold Price Hikes
The price of 22-carat gold across various major cities witnessed a ₹200 increase compared to the previous day. In New Delhi, this means that 22-carat gold now costs ₹135,650 per 10 grams, while 24-carat gold stands at ₹142,430 per 10 grams after an additional ₹210 hike. Similarly, in Mumbai, the rise is also notable with 22-carat gold at ₹135,150 and 24-carat gold at ₹141,910 per tola.
In Kolkata, both types of gold saw significant increases. The price of 22-carat gold is now at ₹136,150 per 10 grams, while the 24-carat variant costs ₹142,960 per tola, up by ₹210 from Thursday's rates.
The city with the most pronounced price hikes was Hyderabad. Here, 22-carat gold rose by a remarkable ₹750, bringing the total to ₹136,700 per 10 grams; 24-carat gold increased by ₹740 to reach ₹143,540 per 10 grams.
The previous trading day's rates were roughly ₹135,450 for 22-carat gold and ₹142,220 for 24-carat gold in Delhi, ₹134,950 for 22-carat and ₹141,700 for 24-carat in Mumbai, ₹135,950 for 22-carat and ₹142,750 for 24-carat in Kolkata, and ₹136,000 for 22-carat and ₹142,800 for 24-carat in Hyderabad.
