On Good Friday, the stock and commodity markets in India remained closed. However, prices for gold and silver continued to fluctuate even as the exchanges were shut. As of April 2nd, 24-carat gold on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw a significant drop, with its value falling by 3%—marking a decline of ₹4,503—from ₹1,45,601 per 10 grams to ₹1,41,108 per 10 grams. This brings the price as per GoodReturns website to ₹1,51,570 per 10 grams in Delhi. Meanwhile, the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reports a midday drop in gold prices from ₹1,45,632 per 10 grams to ₹1,45,507 per 10 grams.

In Delhi, the rate for 24-carat gold is ₹149,110 per 10 grams. For 22-carat gold, it's available at ₹136,690 per 10 grams. Moving to Mumbai, the cost of 22 and 24-carat gold stands at ₹136,540 and ₹148,960 per 10 grams respectively. In Kolkata, similarly priced gold rates are ₹136,540 (22-carat) and ₹148,960 (24-carat) per 10 grams.
In Chennai, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹149,990 per 10 grams whereas for its 22-carat variant, it costs ₹137,490 per 10 grams. In Pune, both 24 and 22-carat gold are listed at ₹148,960 and ₹136,540 per 10 grams respectively.
In Bengaluru, it mirrors the prices in Mumbai where the cost of 22 and 24-carat gold is ₹136,540 and ₹148,960 per 10 grams respectively.
New Delhi: As morning transactions revealed, silver rates dropped by ₹9,000, marking a decrease of approximately 3.66%, settling at ₹237,000 per kilogram from the previous day's price of ₹249,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
