DCP Gaikwad added that Krishna was involved in procuring large volumes of drugs from cultivators in Odisha and supplying them to peddlers across various states—Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. He further disclosed that Panagudu Shiva Krishna is a resident of ASR district under permanent suspension since 2025.
Previous Arrest Records
This arrest comes after a previous incident in 2025 where Krisna was apprehended by Dammapet police, subsequently jailed and suspended. Despite the jail term, he continued his illegal activities, leading to a swift return to law enforcement's radar.
In June 2026, Krishna was linked back to his earlier illicit actions through meticulous investigation, resulting in his arrest at the Nature Cure hospital in SR Nagar. Authorities found him in possession of significant contraband valued at ₹79 lakh and 1.58 kilograms of Ganja.
According to DCP Gaikwad: "The accused had a history of procuring large quantities of drugs from farmers in Odisha, supplying them to interstate dealers." The accused displayed his CISF ID to avoid police checkpoints during multiple smuggling operations and was intercepted near Nature Cure hospital this time.
"This operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking," added DCP Gaikwad as he highlighted the comprehensive network Krishna operated across multiple states, underscoring the severity of his crimes.
