Nellore, the historic district of Andhra Pradesh, witnessed a grand celebration as Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Sri Kamakshi Tayi Ammavaru were married in a divine ceremony at the renowned Jonnawada Temple. This ritual, significant for fostering family harmony, prosperity, health, and blessings for progeny, drew thousands of devotees from across the state.
Special Pujas and Celebrations
Leading up to the ceremony, special pujas, archana, ceremonial baths, and extensive floral decorations were part of a week-long festivity. Hyderabad-based Bandi Narasa Reddy and Sailajamma played a pivotal role as chief patrons, organizing the event with meticulous detail.
The event, celebrated on the 16th day after the Brahmotsavams, resonated deeply among women, newly married couples, and families who sought blessings. Religious fervor was palpable during Maha Mangala Harati, which concluded with the distribution of tirtham, prasadam, and annadanam.
Euphoria continued late into the night as a dancers' performance enthralled the spectators followed by traditional Pallaki Seva. A veena recital later added to the spiritual ambiance. The celebrations concluded aptly with Ekanta Seva, ensuring every attendee left enriched from their devotion and celebration.
Notable participants included Tirumuru Ashok Reddy, chairman of the temple, Arvabhumi Venkata Srinivasulu Reddy, executive officer, and hundreds of devoted worshipers who ensured a remarkable day filled with both spiritual and communal joy.
