Mission to Empower Women
The Delhi government is set to introduce a monthly grant of Rs. 2,500 for women under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, with a budget allocation of Rs. 5,100 crore. This initiative aims at empowering women and providing them with financial stability.The scheme is open to women aged between 21 and 59 years who reside in Delhi and have lived there for at least five years.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, the beneficiary must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. A woman's family income must range from Rs. 2.5 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh per year, and she should not hold a government job or have retired.Application Process
The application process will be made easy for eligible women with the establishment of an official website by the Delhi government. Offline applications may also be accepted. Beneficiaries will receive their monthly grants directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).Aadhaar card, residence certificate, income certificate, mobile number, passport size photo, BPL card, and bank account details are some of the required documents for application.
