The Telangana Congress internal party discord has reached a resolution following direct intervention by the Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC). This development marks a significant turn in local party politics as the committee successfully mediated a truce between two prominent leaders involved in a public disagreement.
Addressing Internal Party Rifts
The conflict involved Mohammed Ali Shabbir, a senior leader and government advisor, and Gaddam Chandrasekhar Reddy, a rival figure based in Kamareddy. The friction between the two had gained public attention following the emergence of a viral audio recording on social media platforms. In the recording, Mohammed Ali Shabbir was allegedly heard expressing criticism regarding current party operations and lamenting the influence of financial power in securing political positions. This audio clip created a widespread political buzz across Telangana, prompting the state unit to take swift action.
To address the escalating situation, the DAC chairman and Member of Parliament Mallu Ravi convened a meeting at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. During this session, both Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Gaddam Chandrasekhar Reddy were required to present their respective statements regarding the dispute. The committee’s objective was to ensure that the internal grievances were handled professionally and that party unity remained intact.
Commitment to Future Cooperation
Following the hearing, Mallu Ravi described the committee’s intervention as functioning similarly to a “family court,” focusing on mediation and unity rather than punitive measures. The primary goal was to provide counseling to the leaders involved, encouraging them to set aside personal differences for the benefit of the organization. As a result of this meeting, both leaders reportedly cooperated with the committee’s directives.
The resolution reached at Gandhi Bhavan entails a commitment from both Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Gaddam Chandrasekhar Reddy to halt public disagreements and cease negative commentary on social media platforms. By agreeing to work together collaboratively, they aim to present a unified front. The successful mediation by the Telangana Congress DAC serves as a strategic attempt to stabilize local leadership dynamics and prevent further public controversies that could hinder the party's operational efficiency in the region.
