Following his visit, the Police Commissioner, accompanied by MLC Mirza Riyaz ul Hassan Effendi, oversaw the inauguration of the trial walk for 'Sridevi', an elephant that serves as the centerpiece of the annual Muharram procession. This field inspection was part of a larger, coordinated effort to ensure robust security arrangements across the city. By evaluating the procession route firsthand, authorities aimed to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement necessary safety protocols to protect the thousands of citizens participating in the event.

During his interaction with the event organizers, the Commissioner requested their full cooperation to facilitate a smooth operation. He reiterated that a high level of coordination between local organizers and law enforcement is essential for managing large-scale religious events effectively.
Reflecting on past events, Sajjanar expressed appreciation for the public's consistent history of cooperation with the police. He remains optimistic that the community will continue to support these efforts, ensuring a peaceful and successful conclusion to the proceedings.
