Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has issued clear directives to government officials in Vijayawada, emphasizing the necessity of resolving public grievances with a human touch. During a departmental review session held at the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister highlighted that the effectiveness of the governance system depends heavily on how officials interact with citizens seeking solutions to their various problems.
N. Chandrababu Naidu stressed that public service must be approachable and empathetic. He encouraged government employees to cultivate soft skills and adopt an innovative mindset to handle administrative tasks more efficiently. According to the Chief Minister, fostering a positive relationship between the administration and the public is vital for building trust in the state's governance system.
Prioritizing Effective Public Grievance Redressal and Administrative Reform
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of leveraging modern technology to simplify file management, a task that was once considered highly labor-intensive. However, he warned that technological integration must be accompanied by fresh, creative thinking to prevent administrative stagnation. To gain a true understanding of the challenges faced by residents, Naidu urged ministers, officials, and staff members to prioritize field-level visits, ensuring they remain grounded and aware of on-the-ground realities.
Addressing wider governance challenges, Naidu cautioned against attempts by certain political groups to incite controversy by politicizing issues through the lens of caste or religion. He tasked officials with staying alert against misinformation campaigns designed to spread hatred and negatively impact the credibility of government services. Furthermore, he addressed public safety concerns, noting that the state is actively working to curb criminal activities associated with drug and ganja addiction, emphasizing that the rule of law will be strictly enforced against all offenders.
Infrastructure Goals and Environmental Commitment
Beyond administrative reforms, N. Chandrababu Naidu outlined several strategic developmental goals for the state. He directed authorities to expedite the establishment of a quantum park and a semiconductor park, following the scheduled launch of a quantum computer in December. Furthermore, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to environmental sustainability, calling for an expansion of green cover, improved water security, enhanced groundwater tables, and the protection of water bodies from pollution. He also instructed transport authorities to ensure that all vehicle registration number plates strictly adhere to the established regulatory norms.
