In a significant address during the State Assembly on Tuesday, Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay leveled serious allegations of corruption against the previous DMK administration. Replying to the motion of thanks regarding the Governor’s Address, the Chief Minister firmly committed to ensuring clean and transparent governance. He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy toward graft, vowing to hold previous wrongdoers accountable while preventing any future corruption within his administration.
Addressing Governance and Transparency Concerns
During his speech, C Joseph Vijay dismissed critiques questioning the capability of the two-year-old TVK party. With sharp sarcasm, he contrasted his administration’s values with the alleged corrupt practices of the previous regime. He stated that his party members were neither interested in exploiting the public for financial gain nor manipulating tender rates for personal enrichment. The Chief Minister asserted that his government is focused on job creation and merit-based administrative processes, rather than the illegal practices of selling vacancies or soliciting bribes for promotions.
