This seizure underscores the stringent protocols implemented by security forces in major airport terminals across India. Such incidents highlight the critical role of vigilance in safeguarding national borders against potential financial crimes and other illegal activities, including money laundering or terrorism financing attempts.

The traveler was subsequently handed over to Customs authorities for further scrutiny and investigation into possible violations of import/export regulations related to such substantial amounts carried without proper documentation.
