Chief Minister's Health Scheme Offers Up to Rs 25 Lakh Coverage and Free Medical Tests in Rajasthan

The Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana, a prominent health initiative managed by the Rajasthan government, has recently been implemented with a significant improvement. The program now covers up to Rs 25 lakh in cashless medical treatments along with over 1,798 medical tests.
Previously known as the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, the Ayushman Arogya Yojana is aimed at providing financial security and health services to millions of citizens. It has an extensive safety net for approximately 13.6 million families in Rajasthan.
The scheme offers free medications for various illnesses including cancer and liver disease to millions of beneficiaries. This initiative has been operational for over a decade, benefiting more than 163 crore patients across the state. Families residing in Rajasthan can now receive care at panel hospitals outside the state under this program.
Eligibility and registration process: Residents of Rajasthan need to visit the official website Rajasthan Health Services. For BPL families, NFSA cardholders, small and marginal farmers, and contract workers, free enrollment is available. Other families pay an annual premium of Rs 850 for membership through the Rajasthan government's SSO portal and e-Mitra centers.
The scheme features several benefits including coverage limits that have increased from five lakh rupees to twenty-five lakh rupees, ensuring broader patient coverage up to one crore (10 million) families. Patients can now receive treatment at panel hospitals outside their state of residence if they are covered by the Ayushman Arogya Yojana.
Some additional achievements include an increased number of medical tests and enhanced services, which significantly contribute to better health outcomes for beneficiaries. The scheme is a crucial initiative that addresses healthcare accessibility and reduces financial burdens for underprivileged families in Rajasthan.
