This innovative scheme is especially designed for families who are financially challenged and unable to provide necessary educational resources for their daughters. The first phase of the scheme was initiated on June 1, 2016.
The scheme’s objectives include reducing gender inequality, preventing female foeticide, ensuring the safety of female births, and promoting families’ commitment to their daughters’ education. By offering substantial financial support, the government is not only assisting families in providing education but also in changing societal perceptions toward daughters.
The scheme provides six installments in total, Rs 2,500, Rs 2,500, Rs 4,000, Rs 5,000, Rs 11,000, and Rs 25,000, respectively, for aspects like birth registration, immunization, primary school enrollment, class six, tenth grade, and twelfth grade, all of which are linked to ensuring the girl child completes her academic journey in Rajasthan.
