Raipur, Chhattisgarh – Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and chairperson of the state yoga commission, Rupnarayan Sinha (68), passed away due to cardiac arrest while participating in a two-day training camp organized by the party at Bilaspur.
Tragic Incident During Yoga Training
Sinha, also an active member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was engaged in a yoga session when he reportedly experienced severe chest pain. He was immediately rushed to the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science (CIMS) at Bilaspur, where his condition deteriorated and he breathed his last.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo expressed deep shock and sorrow over Sinha's sudden demise, describing it as a significant loss for both the BJP and the state. As the former head of the Chhattisgarh State Yoga Ayog, Sinha played a crucial role in promoting yoga initiatives across the region.
