  • Concerns were raised regarding land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road and Kaleshwaram project investigations.

In a pointed critique regarding the current state of Telangana governance, the BJP has launched a severe attack against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The primary concern raised by the opposition involves accusations of administrative failure and a strategic attempt by the state leadership to deflect criticism onto the Centre and BJP officials.

Dr. Kasam Venkateshwarlu, a senior vice-president of the BJP Telangana unit, addressed these issues during a media briefing. He argued that the current administration is engaged in disseminating rhetoric that lacks substance rather than addressing the core developmental and operational challenges facing the state. According to Venkateshwarlu, the government has consistently failed to accept responsibility for its policy shortcomings.

Critique of Governance and Infrastructure Failures

A major focal point of the BJP allegations centers on Hyderabad's lack of preparedness for the monsoon season. Venkateshwarlu contended that fundamental civic duties, such as essential road repairs and drainage system maintenance, have been neglected. He emphasized that these lapses in routine infrastructure management have already resulted in the unfortunate loss of lives as early rains hit the region.

Furthermore, the BJP leader questioned the state's progress on several high-profile initiatives. He highlighted concerns regarding the land acquisition processes for the Regional Ring Road and raised doubts about the integrity of the investigation into the Kaleshwaram project, noting that scrutiny has been limited to only a few pillars. Additionally, the administration faced accusations of showing preferential treatment to the engineering firm L&T.

Venkateshwarlu also criticized Revanth Reddy for allegedly utilizing hostile language when referring to Union ministers and BJP leaders. The opposition claims that the state government is attempting to blame external authorities for the stalling of critical social schemes, including pension disbursements, Mahalakshmi program benefits, Anganwadi payments, and vital funding for the education sector.

The BJP has formally urged the Chief Minister to move away from personal attacks and political posturing. Venkateshwarlu called upon the administration to provide transparent answers regarding these administrative allegations to the public and to prioritize the effective execution of promised infrastructure and welfare projects.
