The Board of Intermediate Education in Andhra Pradesh officially announced the results for the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE) on Thursday, June 18, 2026. These assessments, conducted in May 2026, serve as a critical academic gateway for students aiming to enhance their performance or clear previous hurdles in their educational journey.

The latest IPASE results reflect a significant effort by the state to support student advancement. For the first-year curriculum, a total of 2,20,034 students participated in the improvement category, with 1,35,435 candidates successfully raising their grades, marking a 59% success rate. Regarding those who had previously failed, 1,09,003 students sat for the exams, and 42,379 of them passed, resulting in a 39% pass rate.

Performance Breakdown and Academic Impact

The second-year cohort also demonstrated notable engagement. Out of 91,303 candidates who attempted improvement exams, 48,149 saw a positive change in their results, achieving a 53% improvement rate. Furthermore, among the 1,02,018 students who were previously unsuccessful, 57,327 students passed, representing a 56% improvement percentage.

When combined with the performance from the main examinations, the cumulative academic success for the state has shown growth. The overall pass percentage for first-year general students has risen to 84%, while the second-year general category has climbed to 92%. This comprehensive data highlights the positive impact of providing remedial testing opportunities for local scholars.

Minister for Education, IT and Electronics, N. Lokesh, emphasized the importance of these supplementary sessions. He noted that by offering these opportunities to both those seeking improvement and those who initially did not pass, over 1.83 lakh candidates successfully boosted their scores. Additionally, nearly one lakh students were able to continue their academic paths. The minister extended his congratulations to the successful students, encouraging them to pursue higher education and future career opportunities with newfound confidence.

Recounting and Re-verification Process

Students who are dissatisfied with their IPASE results have been granted a formal window to request a review of their answer scripts. The Board of Intermediate Education has established a clear procedure for reverification and recounting starting from June 19, 2026, through June 26, 2026. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 1,300 per subject for comprehensive re-verification, while a fee of Rs 260 per subject applies for simple recounting.
