Akasa Air's Commitment to Safety: In a statement, an Akasa Air spokesperson emphasized their adherence to safety protocols during this diversion. 'The flight followed all standard safety protocols during the diversion,' said the spokesperson. The airline assured that the pilot and crew maintained strict adherence to established procedures.

Following the safe landing in Bhubaneswar at 00:02 hrs on June 2, an Akasa Air official added, 'At Akasa Air, the safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our top priority. We regret any inconvenience caused due to circumstances beyond control and value passenger understanding.'

Additionally, in another incident that day, IndiGo Flight 6E 6017 from Bengaluru to Chennai faced a precautionary evacuation after smoke was detected during its taxi-out phase.

IndiGo's Immediate Response: While the flight was taxing out for departure, cabin crew reported smoke inside the aircraft. The pilot quickly acted to ensure all passengers and crew could evacuate safely.

The airline stated, 'On June 1, while IndiGo Flight 6E 6017 from Bengaluru to Chennai was taxiing out, an immediate evacuation was carried out as a precautionary measure.' All concerned were promptly moved to the terminal where they received necessary care and refreshments until the departure of an alternate flight.
