The gold market experienced yet another significant surge on April 8th. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold reached an alarming new high of ₹1.52 lakh per 10 grams, up by a staggering ₹4,000 from its previous value of ₹1.48 lakh. Meanwhile, silver prices experienced lesser volatility compared to gold but still saw a notable increase, reaching ₹2.44 lakh per kilogram after increasing by ₹13,000.

The fluctuating market rates of precious metals are perplexing many investors. As the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States intensifies, it's evident that geopolitical tensions have a direct impact on both gold and silver prices. The price dynamics remain unpredictable.
As per MCX trading records at 11:24 AM, the benchmark rate for 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,54,485 per 10 grams, with a day-to-day high of ₹1,54,485 and a low set at ₹1,53,301. Currently, in Patna, gold is being sold at its lowest rate today, trading at ₹153,180 for every 10 grams.
For international markets, the price of 24-carat gold on April 8th was assessed at $4,834.50 per ounce by around 8:30 AM. According to IBJA, the price for 995-purity gold stands at ₹151,459 per 10 grams; 916-purity is valued at ₹139,254 per 10 grams; and a steady rate of ₹114,051 per 10 grams for 750-purity gold. The price of 585-purity gold is fixed at ₹88,960 per tola.
